Did a lovely 30 miler today, a reversal of my usual route out to Cholsey (Strava: http://app.strava.com/rides/14111750) No real ambition, just to start enjoying my riding again, which it certainly did. Going to try reclaiming or gaining strava segments tomorrow...

Permalink Reply by Dave on July 25, 2012 at 18:11 That looks like a good route, goes past the hill near me at the turning into Cholsey. I may have to try this route starting at a different point.
Thanks for sharing and if you see a guy on a red/white/blue bike, wave and say hello as you pass me!
Permalink Reply by julian smart on July 25, 2012 at 21:57 Cheers Dave, it's a lovely ride that I usually do in reverse where I usually post a time around 10 minutes faster. I had 15.4mph at the halfway point and 16.9 at the finish-just to point out the effect the strong headwind on Sunday had!
Incidentally, I decided to set my own Strava segment for this ride, thinking I would for a short time have a KOM....when it came through I was only second fastest, despite that segment not existing! How the hell does that work? :~(
