It's been a strange 12 months for Mark Cavendish. His much anticipated move to Team Sky, followed by his growing disillusionment as the cycling season progressed. All this whilst juggling his racing commitments with family life, having become a father for the first time in April.

This new DVD Mark Cavendish: Born to Race follows the Manx Missile through all the highs and lows in his journey from the early years on a bike on the Isle of Man through to 2012, a pivitol and potentially defining year in his career. The film follows Cav as his season progresses and includes reflective interviews looking back at the Tour De France, and the biggest event in world sport, the 2012 London Olympics.

Including extensive interviews with Cavendish and those that know him best, Born to Race offers a unique insight into the career of Cavendish and is this year’s must-have for all cycling and sport enthusiasts.

Discover what he is really like when the glasses come off, what motivates him, how he relaxes and the meticulous preparation needed to become the fastest man on a bicycle!

Documenting Mark's journey from the early years, building up to and looking back at the Tour De France and the biggest event in world sport, the 2012 London Olympics, plus his grueling schedule in preparation of his career defining year, Born To Race includes all the action plus unique access to Mark's training, media days and rest and relaxation at home.

Viewers will also get a glimpse at his life away from racing as Mark talks about his family and how fatherhood has changed his outlook on life. His true character is further revealed in a previously unseen conversation with his great friend, legendary fashion designer Paul Smith. In ‘A conversation with Paul Smith’ Mark talks candidly about fashion, cycling and life off the bike.

Bonus footage includes interviews with world-renowned cycling director Dave Brailsford, 2012 Tour de France winner Bradley Wiggins, Mark’s girlfriend Peta Todd and other people who have played a vital role in Mark’s career to date making him the fastest man on two wheels.
