Just back from five days of glorious cycling in Mallorca. Many highlights but one of the best moments was a visit to the municipal velodrome in the town of Sineu, which is roughly in the middle of the island. Wheelsuckers' member Jonty Williams mentioned this is a post a while back and I contacted him before heading out and his enthusiasm convinced me to try it out. Great craic - you just turn up and ride straight onto the track. No queues, no fees - a few laps of the track (steeper than the photo suggests) and then it was on to Petra for lunch in the main square pakced with cyclists from all around the Globe! (Another tip from Jonty!).
If you are heading to this cycling paradise in the near future, then allow the time to give the Sineu Velodrome a quick whirl!
