Only -4 or so in Consett. We will get a Summer, soon! Still, 1,145 miles on the year over Winter. I just hope the snow stays away!!!

Ahhh, yes I seem to have lost a bit of weight since I quit eating "salty Surrey winter road grime" flung from a club mate's back wheel. A meal of Heston standards. Haha!

Yeah, I'm with you Dave.  I'd much rather be experiencing the delights of greasy, wet roads, scattered with a prime selection of thorns and flints.  Nothing beats the thrill of fixing a flat with frozen fingers and steamed-up glasses.  You can't buy an afternoon like that!

Sorry MR, I can't for the life of me see the attraction of a ride in Tassie!!! I positively loved every minute of riding behind the Fourth Mrs Nobby and eating the grit and mud being thrown up from her back wheel...
