Just picked up one of these. Been looking for something less ugly and far more "out-front" than Garmin's own mount and this is it! Puts the screen right where I want it, no havng to look right down and almost backwards. Well chuffed!

Hi Andy, the Acor mount basically offers you a extra bit of bar on which to mount anything, so you use the usual garmin baseplate with O rings to attach it.
Comment by Jason Amy on April 17, 2012 at 18:32 Andy! You're a tech person, 3D printing is everywhere now. You and me can master the basics CAD software and buy a simple plastics printer for under $1,000 now. Then we can get making anything we want! Looks like the guys at Raceware have cribbed the BarFly and are making their own version in the UK. Good idea! Will take a picture of mine when I get it back from Doctor D, who's servicing it after it's untimely crash at the weekend and adding a few of his special touches.
Comment by Andy Dawson on April 17, 2012 at 13:49 Also noticed that the raceware mount is 3D printed. Have I missed something or is this (amazing) ability to manufacture via 3D printing quietly creeping into our lives without much of a fanfare? I posted a video recently on manufacturing a bike with a 3D printer
Comment by Andy Dawson on April 17, 2012 at 13:07 I want one! Does the 500 attach using the usual baseplate/rubber O rings?

Also found this one - available soon

I know exactly what you mean, the stem mounting is a bit too far back for comfortable glances. I have ordered one of these for the same purpose, not as neat but a lot cheaper.
I also hear that Quarq will be offering one soon but no news as when.
Comment by Andy Dawson on April 16, 2012 at 18:58 Looks good. And it's available for the 500! Did you buy it direct from the site you linked to or from a UK supplier?
