Alas, the cowardice of old age. So cold this morning I didn't ride until the sun was high and the streets were aired and then it was magic.

Sunday tea has long been a casual affair in this house; after the upheaval of a proper 2-hour lunch, with assorted people drifting in and out, the probability of too much alcohol and the certainty of a  mountain of washing-up, that's how it must be.  And guess what delicacy my lady organised this afternoon?  You've got it, bacon butties, saggy for her and crispy for me.

I'm liking the cut of your jib MtB. Spam, you say? Does it have to be SPAM, or would a crispy bacon sandwich not do instead? I wonder what the food bores at Team Jiffy Bag have to say on the matter? Salbutamol probably....

Whatever vitamins and minerals are, I have never enquired, I hope their levels return to something near your normal Dave.  Having said that in an transparent attempt to sound sympathetic, I always suspected this veggie nonsense would be your undoing.  If you had only listened to me and eaten more Spam you could have been a contender.

Cowards, MtB???? Tish and Pish! I haven't got out on the illustrious Wiggle since the first week in January!!! Currently undergoing all manner of tests at my magnificent workplace to try and discover why my vitamin B, D and Iron levels have fallen through the floor. Could it be my vegetarian diet, coeliac disease or the Energy Fags. Ah well, maybe it's time for a Crispy bacon sandwich, white bread, too much butter and a splash of ketch, lovely... (Exits Stage Left, soon followed by the sounds of something frying...)
