Ah MtB, but on the Island of My Immaculate Conception, you still get the travelling fish and chip van. I have to walk all the way to the end of my road to get my fix!

Aah yes, the travelling community of retail therapists.  Monday brought the baker's van, Tuesday the butcher, Wednesday the lemonade lorry of your acquaintance and so on through the week as the larder was refreshed with essentials.  Not forgetting the knife sharpener's annual visit and the 'onion Johnny' who arrived from France every summer on his rusty old bike.

Them was the days.

I remember the lights of the SIXTIES, MtB, the Coronary van, rushing out to feed the tag and bone/coal man's horse, and, growing up in Brixton, my dad being cool enough (he now likes the loathsome Andre Reiu) hanging out in the calypso bars. I was pleasantly subjected to all the best new reggae tunes coming over from January on the Trojan record label. Happy days, I had hair and teeth then....
