Great to hear that all driving instructors will now have to watch this film about giving cyclists the correct amount of space on the road. Presented by Chris Boardman and master driving instructor Blaine Walsh, the film sets out to explain how to safely overtake cyclists, referring to rule 163 of the Highway Code. The film was made by Carlton Reid, who is editor of Bikebiz and the website I Pay Road Tax (ipayroadtax.com) who also revealed in tweets this week (@carltonreid) that the film will also be edited into a public information film for general consumption. Fantastic news and hopefully a wake-up call to a lot of motorists out there who seem very ignorant of some rules of the Highway Code, not to mention the vulnerability of cyclists.

Not just a driving instructor but a 'master' driving instructor. And where, pray, was this distinction earned?
